I really love this challenge because it limits embellishments. It's not that I hate embellishments, but sometimes I think they overpower a card and take away from the image... and those lil things are not cheap! Yeah I know you can get them reasonable and make your own ,but sometimes you just want to enjoy the image and the paper, kwim? Anyway. The challenge at
Mo's Digital Pencil was to do something inspired by fall... colors, scene, etc.
I made this for my dear friend
Macrina...we used to exchange cards in the monastery and I still have several she gave me and she would write such dear things in them.. one of my fave memories was when I was going to Bethany for a "prayer day" often she would leave a card or poem in my mailbox and I would always check it before I left.. then would enjoy reading it for my time away....even when I didn't always want to hear it. I can still hear her say "Oh Julianne" (my Sister name) in exasperation when I was off on a tangent or in a snarky mood.,,, (ok ok its snarfy) and here all along I thought you had created snarky.... :)
anyway...
We both love to read and this reminded me of her when I first saw this image! it will be winging its way to you soon!
