Left of Center Creative Challenges: Challenge 6: LOC and/or Red and Black

Yay for Friday!  And for those of us in Canada, it's a long weekend!  I am so thankful for an extra day off!  I really need some holidays.  Oh well, maybe in the next few months I can take some time off.

Today at LOC we have a new challenge- to create something with an LOC theme and/or Red and Black!  I used an image generously provided by our sponsor, LEJ Designs.

I colored with copics, used some designer paper scraps, and a piece of ribbon I had cut for something else and didn't use.  The sentiment I did on the computer.   I like the color combo too!

Hope you can join us during this challenge at Left of Center- we'd love to have you stop by!

Queen Cleo

Awhile ago I saw these cute digi images from Tiddly Inks with coordinating backgrounds by Make it Crafty, so I had to add some to my collection.  I am on a mission to try to use up stuff I already printed out or stamped (sound familiar?)  and here is the first one to go...

I combined the background, cat and Cleo in one.  I know she probably never wore a red-orange gown, but in the world of stamping, it all works.  Plus she had to coordinate with the paper.  The glimmery paper is as old as the hills, and the lovely navy with flowers paper is a scrap from a 12x12 page I bought pretty recently.  The sentiment is one of the first stamps I bought from Michaels- and although I had printed out a sentiment that goes with the image, I sorta killed it by trying to do the corner roundy thing on a too-small of a piece of paper.  So I searched thru my stamps and found this one.

Shopping Our Stash; Scrap Attack!

I know I said I was taking a break, but I did manage to make a card for Shopping Our Stash challenge- to use only scraps on your card (except base).  I used some leftover bits of the Bo Bunny paper I have been using, some cardstock scraps, and an image I stamped that had an ink smear, so I cut it out instead of using the matching dies which would have shown the smear.

I colored it with copics, added some glitter pen, and some bling, and the ribbon was a bit leftover from a card kit swap!   One more birthday card done!

Left of Center Challenge 5: Digi or LOC theme and Bloggy Break Time

Hello everyone!  Yours truly was unable to get her project done on time for the Left of Center Challenge 5 last week, but since there is still another week to go, I decided it would be a good mid-challenge reminder!  Between work and stress and exhaustion, along with my Mom's recently passing, I am needing to take a break from everything and recharge.  So I may be taking a short leave from blog land- but hopefully I won't be gone long.   I love my crafting, and I hope just even a short time without any deadlines and commitments will be the boost I need.

Now, onto the card!  I used this gorgeous image from Delicious Doodles, and colored her with copics.  I used paper from Basic Grey's Indie Bloon pad along with some Bo Bunny paper. Misc card stock and bling.

Hope you can stop by Left of Center Challenges and join in!

Take care- over and out!

Shopping Our Stash- Mother's Day or PINK (at least 60%)

Hello everyone!  This week at SOS  we want to see PINK- your project needs to be at least 60 percent pink and/or Mother's Day!  Pick what works best for you or combine them!

I used some paper I had on my desk and made two cards.  I still have enough left to make one more.  I used Tilda for one and a Hero Arts stamp for the other.  The sentiments are from my stash.

I used copics for coloring and some spica glitter pens as well.  The paper is Bo Bunny and the cardstock is Bazzil.  Brads and bling from my stash.

Dutch Dare Challenge: Sports

Hello everyone!  Over at Dutch Dare Card Challenges we have a new challenge- SPORTS!  Time to dig out your sporty images, papers, embellishments and join in!  We also have a great new sponsor, Dr. Digi!  I love the unique style and images!

I used Anglin' Andy for my card- colored with copics.  I added some glossy accents for his glasses, and some glitter pen on the fish.  The papers are from MME  and the green cardstock is from Ranger- Kraft coordinations that I embossed in the cuttlebug and sanded lightly.  The book plate embellie came from a card kit. The sentiment I did on the computer.

Shopping Our Stash Challenge 99: All About Numbers

Hello!  This week at Shopping Our Stash we are asking you to dig out those packages of stickers of numbers, paper with numbers on it, a number image or cut out, etc.  Numbers should be on your project prominently!

I used some MME paper that has numbers on it, and an image I had colored probably years ago in a class somewhere.  I decided it was time to set it free!  I added some SU seam binding ribbon and glossy accents on the jar.

Hope you will join us this week at Shopping Our Stash!
