Hello! Thanks so much for stopping by! This week at Shopping Our Stash we have an easy challenge- sort thru your stash and pull out things related to Valentine's, or hearts, or lace! How easy is that? You can also simply use a Meljen's image and play along with that!

I used one of my fave Meljen's images and some My Mind's Eye papers and came up this! I love the miceys!

I colored with copics and used my nesties, Martha Stewart border punch and heart punch, and misc bling!

This is the perfect image for me! I need my coffee in the morning for a kick start! I just love Bugaboo images and they are sponsoring us this week! Over at Shopping Our Stash we are asking you to use a people image in your project! Young, old, in between, single or in pairs or groups- it all works! If you are like me you probably have at least a few images already stamped or printed just waiting to be used!

I used SU Spice Cake paper, SU card stock base, and then a misc layer I edged with some distress ink. I colored with copics, and added some brads and glossy accents on her glasses and cup.

Shopping Our Stash Challenge 36: Winter Blues

This week at Shopping Our Stash we are in the winter blues...as in using our stash of BLUE! It doesn't have to be winter related- as long as the project is primarily blue, it works!

I used some stash I unearthed during my recent move! I colored with copics then covered with Rock Candy Crackle paint and then added soem Distress ink in Gathered Twigs over it. Stormy Sky distress ink on the paper. Twine I got on a takeout bakery purchase! I distressed the image panel with scissors and added more ink here and there.

The challenge this week at Shopping Our Stash is one of my faves- use anything that sparkles, shines, glitters or blings! I used this cute Penguin image from Dilly Beans Stamps who is sponsoring us this week.

On the penguin I used glossy accents for feet/nose, flower soft sweet pea for the scarf/hat, stickles on snowflakes, liquid pearls on the hat trim, and although you can't see it, Glimmer Mist all over! Lots of sparkle! Papers are from Basic Grey. MS punch for snowflake (smaller one) and the border punch. Sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie.

Hello! This week at Shopping Our Stash we have a great challenge- and as always, use any of the options or any combination:

For my project I made a little post it note holder. I used the adorable #304-Heart Owl. I printed him in Kraft card stock, then added some color with prismacolor pencils, googlie eyes for fun and then placed him on a background of October Afternoon papers. The base is made out of the back of a scratch pad. A button with twine and some alpha stickers finished it off. There is also a bit of ribbon on the spine of the holder.

Christmas Card Challenges Week 51 Black and White

Hello! I have to admit when I saw the challenge this week at Christmas Card Challenges I was a bit stumped...I couldn't think of what in my stash might work. But, after a bit of digging, I realized I had several choices... just took some thinking! So, we challenge YOU to come up with something black and white, but if not, feel free to join in with any Christmas card/project!

I finally got to play in the Hambo Hoedown this week! Lately my MOJO has been AWOL! But I had this flower image printed out and made a cheery get well card! The colors/brightness is a bit off but its soo dark here early now that the flash sometimes makes it TOO bright but that's better than too dark!

Just a quick share of some cards I have made recently... the first two were made in the SU stamp club I go to once a month!

The cool thing about getting out once a month is I get to try things I wouldn't on my own and learn new things! Love the glimmer paper on the top card and the cool shaker window with mica flakes! Looks better in person too!

The second uses red glimmer paper and the cute stocking punch and stamp set. I can't wait till I get my own set- they are on order and then I can make some cute stocking cards!

The cowboy dog features an image from Meljens, colored with copics, some ancient paper from my stash, and SU cardstock. Misc ribbon and star brads, and a chipboard star that I colored with my copics and stamped with a sentiment stamp from Unity.

The owl card below features the reclusive pear tree owl stickers, and Basic Grey Pyrus paper, Gina K Cardstock, misc ribbon and Unity sentiment. I embossed the Kraft cardstock and used distress inks.

How 'bout them Cowboys? When I first came up with this challenge for Shopping Our Stash, I was thinking of FOOTBALL season, because that's what crisp, fall weather feels like to me! Being from Texas and growing up watching the Cowboys, it was common for that phrase "how 'bout them Cowboys" to be heard quite often!

So that's where the idea for a challenge to use anything sports related, cowboy related came from- and we stretched it to include anything CLOSE to cowboys or sports! Think horses, cows, ranches, farms, pick up trucks, tailgates, cowboys/cowgirls, cattle, bulls, rodeo, saddles, OR anything to do with sports- football, soccer, swimming, fishing, yoga, racing, cheerleading, skating, walking, jogging, etc.

I did two cards....and NO Cowboy card. I must be off my game!

They use the same paper which I got from a kit. I found the sentiment for the Mouse one online..love Will Rogers!

The fishing card is also for the challenge at Cute Card Thursdays- sketch! I also used my neglected MS dragon fly punch and starburst circle punch too. Sentiment if from Unity, and I used Gina K cardstock and my cuttlebug for embossing.

I was looking for some specific paper the other day and found my Basic Grey Pyrus pad that has been sorely neglected...decided it was fallish and farmerish so I paired it with Farmer Clem from High Hopes- then I wanted to play with Catered Crop and The Pixie Cottage so I came up with this card!

Hello! This week at Christmas Card Challenges we are asking you to use liquid applique on your project if you have it, if not, improvise or just play along with any Christmas card! I didn't have any so I used Liquid Pearls instead! The image is by Stampendous. Love it!

I used frosty wintery colors for this card.... (no Cherry Cobbler this time lol) and most of the elements were in a card kit from a swap! Yay! I finally sat down and played with one of the images for the So Artful challenge ... there is still another week to play along.. and the theme was angels. I just love A day for daisies images and when this came in the newsletter I new I had to join the challenge there! I doodled around the image and on the book too.

Urge to Purge

Yesterday June posted on her blog her Urge to Purge plan- and today I joined in and conquered my embellishment drawer and two other drawers I keep stickers, "extras" and so on in...

Before-not only were the containers jammed in there, the contents weren't really organized anymore

Afterwards- all sorted, reorganized and lots of room now!

Another drawer (below) had all sorts of stuff in there-

I did relocate some stickers and different odd embellishments to another drawer and throw out some empty packaging which I was saving to repurpose but really... I probably won't get to it anytime soon anyway.

I did come up with a large ziploc bag full off odds/ends/ribbon scraps that will be going to the thrift store at the end of my sorting/purging. I have recently sold a huge amount of my stamps so there's not many things I can sell.

I did find two new spools of ivory grosgrain ribbon I forgot I bought some time ago... and a baggie of larger googlie eyes! Also I realized I have a TON of brads I need to start using.

I used Cherry Cobbler SU cardstock, and papers from My Mind's Eye.. I think they are from the I Believe collection. I decided to make one of the birds the "image" and it fit nicely in a circle punch. Misc ribbon and pearls. Card stock layer is also SU.

This card contains a number of House Mouse images stamped together... aren't they cute going trick or treating? I did a 4x8.5 card.. probably the first or second one ever...nice size too for mailing! Shopping Our Stash Challenge 22: Inspiration Picture and/or Dia de los Muertos

The challenge at Shopping Our Stash this week is one of my favorites... it's to use the inspiration picture and/or the theme Dia de los Muertos! I went all out fiesta style on my card... if you are familiar with Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead celebrations you know that flowers and decorating and bright colors are part of the fun.

I used SU cardstock and made an easel card. Background paper is from Echo Park (I think). I used some glitter cardstock, stamped my Viva Las Vegas stamp in memento and colored it all up with copics, spicas and gel pens. The flowers are on a ribbon which is now covered lol. Wild Orchid Craft flowers and misc stash items. Bling is in the form of Stickles and Glimmer Mist. Sentiments are from a digi kit availabe at Two Peas.

Isn't this little mummy adorable! He is the featured image at Hambo Hoedown this week. Too cute. I love the fact I could use more googlie eyes! I have a ton of those and let's face it, there are only so many times you can use them! I combined the image with some Basic Grey paper, misc cardstock, some orange web stuff, ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and the felt bats I got in a RAK.

Christmas Card Challenges Week 46 Stickers

This week at Christmas Card Challenges we are giving you the option of using stickers on your project! This is a great challenge to use up some of your stash! I dug deep and found some alphabet stickers and used those. Remember you can submit any winter/Christmas project if you don't want to use stickers.

For my card I used Gina K cardstock for the base, a scrap of designer paper, not sure who made it, some SU cardtock for the layer and embossed piece, and some SU ribbon, then spritzed Glimmer Mist in Pearl over the whole thing. The little snowflake embellishment was from a swap.

I made this tag for the So Artful Challenge this fortnight and Simon Says Challenge...I dug out my Tim Holtz paraphernalia and had a lot of fun putting it together. I began by using distress inks and inking the tag with Black Soot. Then I decided I wanted to use some texture on it and got out the Distress Crackle Paints..used some of those here and there, then allowed to dry. Added more ink in some spots. I printed the Crow graphic and cut out... used my newish Quick Cutz die for the bat and moon scene...added more ink. Then used a couple of different scraps of borders I had on hand for the fence. I put some beads on the memo pin and put one of the die cut bats on it... then coated the whole tag and bat/pin with Crackle Paint in Rock Candy. Oh and the little pumpkin was from some great blog candy I won over at Haunted Design House a while back.

Christmas Card Challenge Week 44:Tags

Happy Sunday! This week at Christmas Card Challenges we are asking you to use the option of Tags in your project-small or large, part of a card/layout or on their own! Use your imagination! And don't forget you can always play along with any Christmas themed project!

I made this tag using the Tim Holtz Sizzix die and old file folders. I then used Faded Jeans, Night Sky, and Tumbled Glass distress inks and my teflon craft sheet- stamped the sheet with the ink pads randomly, spritzed with Glimmer mist, then ran the tag thru the inks...too fun. I then used the clear stamp set from BoBunny's Blitzen line. I stamped over the distress inks and them embossed with black embossing powder. I then used a SU snowflake stamp and stamped with embossing ink randomly and used silver EP and also used it over a punch I had from a card kit. I then inked some alpha stickers a bit to spell Peace... added a ribbon and called it done!

I haven't been around as much lately due to a new computer since my beloved Mac died :( I am back to a PC but so far so good. I have had to spend hours organizing files, finding something to replace Iphoto, etc. I think now I have things working fairly well.

I did manage to do some crafting the last two days- so luckily I have something ready for Shopping Our Stash! I had this digi image from Tiddly Inks called Cast a Spell printed for sometime now and decided to use her. I love the whimisical feel! I decided purple would be a good color for her and combined with the challenge requirements of black and white plus one! I added tons of glitter on her wings, dress, etc. I love my stickles! Colored with copics and used Basic Grey Indie Bloom paper and misc cardstock.. embossed the black panel with my cuttlebug. Ribbon and bling from my stash! Sentiment is from Unity. This week at Shopping Our Stash we are asking you to put down the Copics and Prismacolor pencils and use something different for your image.. you can emboss, use patterned paper, paper piece, use a quote/sentiment as focal point, use your Cricut cartridges, etc. Anything goes as long as you haven't colored it with your Copics or Prismacolor pencils!

I was still in a vintage mood so used some of hoarded Graphique 45 paper for the main image. I also used some Tim Holtz papers and SU Cherry Cobbler, and misc Kraft, misc seam binding, Wild Orchid flowers, misc lace and hat pin for my easel card. The sentiment just cracks me up.. from Viva Las Vegas stamps. I love the contrast between the image and the sentiment!

Shopping Our Stash Challenge 17 Vintage or Distressed or Shabby Chic Meets my first Stampin Up club card!

Hey everyone! This week at SOS we are asking you to create something vintage, shabby chic, or distressed! I had all these plans of doing some big ode to Tim Holtz project but life and work and all got in the way of crafting...but it gave me the chance to repair the card I made at my first SU stamp club class last week... It's pretty much the same as it was except I had to cut the base off as I glued it on crookedly and it bugged me. So I added some Distress Ink in Walnut Stain around the edges over the More Mustard and then distressed the long edges. Then I used some homemade glimmer mist and spritzed it all... it looks cool in real life!

The paper and layers are all SU and the base was Kraft from Gina K- and the button and sentiment and leaves etc are all in the new SU mini! Thanks to Kristyne for the wonderful instruction!

Anyway, it's time for another challenge at CCC Christmas Card Challenges and we have a fun one.. VINTAGE! I don't know if my card just screams vintage but I do think it captures the essence! I used some elements of a card kit I got in a swap- love the snowflakes and the paper! I colored Tilda with copics and added Liquid Pearls and Distress Stickles here and there - some lace and a ribbon from my stash. Snowflake punchies and bling!

Smoking Gun

Over at Macabre Monday they were challenging us to do something PMS- and while my stuff isn't as spooky/dark as some, I thought this still fits! It's got an angry woman and silver!

This is one of the image stamps I bought on evilbay awhile back, not sure what the name of it is but has Mars Tokyo and designed by Sally Mericle. @1995. The sentiment is from Viva Las Vegas stamps.

I kept it monochromatic and used papers from Echo Park Happy Days pad, Neenah black textured cardstock, Black Soot Distress inks, copics, spica pen for glittery heels and hair highlights (which you can't see well in the pic but in real life it's there!) And for the silver part I used some ducting tape I ran thru my cuttlebug with an embossing folder. Mics bling, ribbon and a Fiskars border punch, and Bob's your uncle!

And see that little extra strip of black framing her by the guns? That's because I dropped my Garnet spica pen after doing her lips and got a redish blotch on the edge of the image paper! I hate when stuff like that happens! But of course I had the whole thing done and decided to give her some lipstick, and bam! So I had to do a quick hide! Just thought I would share that. :)

I used this sweet bird stamp and sentiment stamp from Stampin Up! I had bought this set awhile back on SCS and it sat in my closet waiting patiently...

I colored it with distress inks and a touch of copic for the beak. The paper is Basic Grey Out of Print and cardstock is Gina K. Misc ribbons. I added some Distress Ink on the beaded circle and paper edges.

Okay I have to say this image is adorable but I am not thrilled with the card. I had no suitable night sky paper and decided she would be coming in for a landing mid-day so I could use my My Minds Eye paper I had. I popped out some of the clouds and her spaceship. I tried adding some bling but it looked worse with it. Oh well. I tried. I added some stickles on the lights and glossy accents on the ship and googly eye! . It does have dimension! It's for Hambo Hoedown!

Since its the long weekend, I have some extra time to do some fun stuff! This is one of my fave images from Tiddy Inks and I have had it printed for ages- then I was exploring my google reader and came up with some fun challenges to combine today!

First, I used a sizzix frame die I had to create a frame for Macabre Monday challenge, embossed it with a spider web Cuttlebug embossing folder, then used Perfect Medium and some Forever Green Perfect pearls powder. Then I colored the image with copics and spica pens, and used Distress inks on it... Paper is Bo Bunny and cardstock is Bazzil and Neenah textured black. I found some bat ribbon in halloween box and used that, and a scrap of purple ribbon. I used dimensionals to pop the image and frame out. The sentiment is from Viva Las Vegas and just cracks me up. I figured it went well with this girl! One of these days I am gonna pair it with something totally unexpected like a Tilda or something!

I saw this card on Pinterest and had to CASE it! (of course I cut my paper going the wrong way so changed the orientation, but it works!) I just loved the simple elegance! I used a stamp from Unity for the sentiment. The paper I am thinking is SU Christmas Cocoa - I got it in a RAK best I recall and have been saving it! Top-note die cut and some bling ... super simple but nice I think!

Christmas Card Challenge Recycle Week 36

This week at CCC we have a fun challenge... recycle! I can't wait to see what everyone uses! The frame around Santa was made from a pepsi box.. I originally was going to use the silver side but then couldn't find any papers to go with that so I used the flip side. I like the rustic look on this!

I used a Sizzix frame and then embossed the frame with a cuttlebug folder... added some distress inks and a slight dusting of Perfect Pearls here and there. The paper is Basic Grey and the cardstock is Gina K. Misc sentiment. Image is from Magnolia. I colored him with copics and added some distress inks to frame it. I gave him normal color pants as if he was working lol. I had to add a bow too from misc ribbon.

I am stepping over to the dark side...hehe love doing something totally different for me. I found this cool challenge blog a few weeks ago and am having fun trying new things and being "dark". This week the challenge was Varying Visages of Vincent Price ... I used a quote from him along with some spooky elements like the spiderweb, skulls, etc. Plus I used EYELETs which I never do and fibers and a skull bead... too fun and a spider sticker. I also stapled her to the background with my Tiny Attacher I just had to have but don't use often..

The image is from the Octopode Factory- they have a ton of really neat images! I used copics, stickles, spica pens, cuttlebug embossing folder, Distress ink, Glimmer Mist in addition to the stuff above. Misc paper and cardstock from my stash.

This week at Shopping Our Stash we have another assortment of triggers to get you using your stash. Remember you don't have to use all three- you one or more- it's up to you!

I used this cute jukebox stamp and sentiment from Unity stamps and kept it simple- stamped with Ranger Distress Ink in Black Soot then embossed with clear EP. Gina K cardstock and some older dsp ...no clue what the name or brand is! I also used some music note brads I had in my stash for some time now! I added some ribbon as well.

Okay, its so not my typical card.. but ya know sometimes ya just gotta do something different, right? I used the Mosquito digi stamp from Hambo that is available here- if you join in each week you get the next image free but you can use any Hambo image.

I don't use black often so did it in shades of black- and I got to use googly eyes which is always a kick for me (yes, I am easily entertained hehe) and then I thought hey I can spritz some rarely used smooch something or the other in red on it... fits the Haunted House challenge and then after I did it hope the red dots don't make it non monochromatic. Oh well. I tried.

This week at Shopping Our Stash we have a fun and easy challenge:

Buttons, Blooms and Bananas ( you dont have to use all, just use at least one or more of the categories)

let's gather up those odd buttons and blooms that have been waiting to be called into service! Do you have a button jar full of old or mismatched buttons or scads of paper flowers? How about coming up with a new way to use your buttons or blooms? If that doesn't do the trick for you, how about digging out any vegetable and/or fruit themed stamps, papers or embellies?

I used parts of a card kit I just received (papers and top note die cut) and an image I had from a swap, added some buttons, ribbon. Colored with copics and used my MS border punch for detail and to keep the main color combo of pink, green and yellow! Easy Peasy!

I used this fun Kenny K Mistletoe image and paired her with Basic Grey Eskimo Kiss papers, Gina K and SU cardstock, stickles and sparkly ribbon from my stash. I did the sentiment on the computer, I used Liquid Pearls for her trim and a cuttlebug folder for the circle under the sentiment. and pink pearls from my stash for a bit of bling.

Shopping Our Stash Challenge 9 Technique Turn Back

I call this Guacamole by the Pool...or Carla experiments with the shaving cream background technique!

This week at SOS we have this fun challenge:

Do you have some supplies gathering dust for a special technique that you haven't used in awhile (or ever)? Perhaps some Dreamweaver stencils, quilling, alcohol inks, shaving cream backgrounds, brayer techniques, melted crayon backgrounds, microfine glitter and scor-tape, even coloring with a different medium than you usually use? Dust off those supplies and create something new! You aren't limited to those suggestions, but be sure to tell us what technique you are using.

I played with the shaving cream background technique...It was fun and I think I will try it again sometime. Here's a link to a tutorial. I used Distress reinkers and tried it with glossy cardstock and regular Gina K layering weight..both worked well.

I stamped a sentiment from Unity on the card, added some ribbon, and voila! The cardstock base/layer is from Gina K too. Misc ribbons.

Hambo Hoedown Jail Gate Fold

This week at Hambo Hoedown the challenge was to make a gate fold card, and since I had finally printed one of the earlier digis we received for playing, I decided to use that one and make a monochromatic institutional gray card-- I kept it very simple because its for work and a lot of people will be opening/closing and signing it!

I am also thrilled I could use some SU gray paper I have had in my stash forever and I just bought that gray cardstock Saturday on sale....so perfect timing. Oh any crookedness you might spot on this card is merely an optical illusion. Just sayin'...

I used this really cute Grinch sentiment digi that is also very meaningful...and kept the card simple to go along with the meaning. I used kraft cardstock and printed my digi onto that, cut out with a nestie, used spica glitter pens over the printing and added some distress inks. I popped on it on a top note die cut from a cuttle bug embossed panel I had received in a swap. The paper I think is Basic Grey but I am not 100 percent sure. The ribbon adds just a hint of sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by today! Today at Shopping Our Stash we are asking you to either use your older supplies (out with the old) or something brand new ( in with the new!) . One of the few packages I have received is a purchase from Simon Says Stamp from before the mail strike and it just arrived. I was lucky enough to have won a g/c on a challenge blog and I had to go shopping!

Anyway, I got this adorable The Greeting Farm Stamp Syren and the Bo Bunny paper pad Barefoot and Bliss...so they made a great combo! Sometimes I even plan my purchases to actually coordinate lol. I colored her to give an underwater feel with aquas, blues and greens with copics with some Spica glitter pen highlights and of course Stickles...they didn't photograph so well, but they look fabby in real life! With the busy paper I kept embellishments to a minimum with some silk ribbon treatment and a charm that says BELIEVE. I spritzed some homemade glimmer mist on the front too. The charm I have had FOREVER! The sentiment is actually from the lyrics to a song that is sung by Great Big Sea. I've included the video too because, well, I LOVE GBS and its so upbeat you can't help but smile.

Hambo Hoedown...I almost stopped crafting during the making of this card..I am kinda ashamed to even post it but oh well, life is about making mistakes, failing, and then moving on....and providing comic relief now and then...think of it as a cautionary tale if you will...

Let's start by saying I TRIED to get a bigger circle with my Martha Stewart circle cutter thing. I tried twice and went thru two brand new full pieces of cardstock that were blue in color and I rarely use anything blue and so was kinda saving them for those crafting emergencies when you HAVE to have blue...Then I realized they looked crappy because my blade was dull and heaven forbid I actually be able to FIND the refills I purchased not too long ago... (the whole looking around my room and in drawers took a very long time punctuated by my moaning and whining and foot stomping...saying How can I have sooo much s-crap (to borrow the term from Leslie) that I can't even find what I NEED! But the refills are MIA still, so I decided it would be a little card, then my first two images I printed were TOO BIG and finally used this sized one. No room for embellies but I did decorate the inside sort of...LOVE the image but man, I totally suck at round cards.....

*hangs head in shame* But ya know, I am so determined to get the next image for playing that I will forge ahead and learn...learn that I REALLY need the Grand Caliber thing or whatever its called so I can get some bigger circle dies!

And yes, I tried to make him a two-tone dog with a bit of sunburned tummy. Really.

This week at Christmas Card Challenges we have a fun challenge for you- paper piecing.. that's one of my top faves! I used some scrap Bo Bunny paper for Tilda's outift..thought it sorta looked like jammies and she is sneaking in or out of the room with a Christmas giftie! I also used a card kit I had received in a swap with great paper...love these colors together. I added some WOC seam binding ribbon, colored with nesties, the sentiment was in the kit, and the cardstock base I think is SU. The blue layer is misc.. its really foil- like in real life. Added some stickles too.

Boy do I need to do this challenge more often! I have so many great card kits, swapped items, stuff I won, received as different candy, etc. This week at Shopping Our Stash we are asking you to dig into your stash of card kits, things you swapped, candy you have won, wish rak goodies, or if that doesn't apply, how about coming up with something using Candy or sweet theme- think lollipops, desserts, peppermint candy cane colors, jelly beans, etc.

I used a kit from my Magnnolia card kit swap and it was so fun to actually sit down and have all the components already there. I added only the cardstock base and a layer and some pearls and the rest was in the kit.

I colored Tilda with copics, added glimmer mist in Pearl and a sentiment I had printed but am not sure where it was from! Tilda has gathered some yummy cherries. I added some glossy accents to them.

I dunno what is wrong with me but every time I go to type Hoedown I have to erase HOWDOWN! Anyway, this is the latest digi for the ongoing Hambo HOEDOWN! I love that cute dog and doghouse! The image is from Hambo and is a digi image available here!

I could not get anything to work right last night when I was finishing this card, but it is done and I used my last little bone embellie. I need to find more. The papers are from a DCWV pet stack I think, Gina K cardstock, and colored with copics. MS grass punch and for the life of me I cannot remember who makes the dog paw punch!

Yay! My first post as a DT member for Christmas Card Challenges! I am just thrilled to be creating alongside some fabulous designers and getting a start on my Christmas cards!

This week we have an inspiration picture/title for you and you can use anything you like from it- just something to spark your imagination.. you can go literal, colors, santa, vintage, the poem, you name it! And, if that doesn't work, any Christmas/wintery Holiday card is just fine too! No excuses!

Shopping Our Stash SOS Challenge 6 Scrap Attack or Recycle it!

Tuesday Time! I am gonna be off track all week as my normal late shift at work is moved to a different day .. and we are off work Friday whoohoo!

This week at Shopping Our Stash we have another challenge designed to have you USE YOUR STASH! This week we have two options that you can combine or do one or the other.

I used this cute Whipper Snapper snowman and some scraps of the yummy Bo Bunny Midnight Frost collection papers.... I wish I had more of this! I love the colors! I used the sunburst technique and yeah, the layout is almost exactly the same as the earlier card I did, but my mojo is in short supply! Plus it works for this challenge and this card, so that's the main thing! I used a cuttlebug folder and embossed the card stock pieces and then colored Mr. Frosty with some copics. A simple ribbon is all the card needed. I spritzed some of my beloved Pearl Glimmer Mist on it and called it done!

I am totally cheating and copying most of the post on the SOS site, but my mind is simply not totally functional tonight... at any rate:

Welcome to another installment of Shopping Our Stash! This week our challenge is called:

Tools of The Trade

Let's use some of those tools we *had* to have but don't use often-could be your eyelet setter, circle cutter, decorative scissors, fastenator, tiny attacher, cropodile or maybe you have an embossing folder that has not yet been used, nestabilities that haven't been opened, or even your paper piercer can be called into use on your project! How about a punch, your bow easy, or sewing machine? Use a tool that is rather neglected!

I used my paper crimper, which isn't THAT neglected since I haven't had it long, but still. I had to uncover it from the depths of my mess, so that made it okay. Then I used my scoreboard for pleating the crimper-ed cardstock. I also used my Distress inks here and there. The townscape die from Tim Holtz was never before used until this card... I bought it during a sale at a LSS only because it was ON SALE and TIM HOLTZ.. . I am pushover. The sentiment is Unity. It's a bit different from my normal cards but that is a good thing.. always good to try something different.

Happy Tuesday! Today I have two posts, this one and then a bit later come back for my Shopping Our Stash post!

I was lucky enough to be able to be a guest designer for A Spoon Full of Sugar this week, and this is my card! I got to use of my my LOTV stamps called Born to Shop. I love that little sassy bear!

I combined her with Echo Park springtime papers, Melon Mambo SU cardstock, and some ribbon from my stash. I added a little charm that is a tag that says SALE! My favorite word!

I colored with copics and used nesties and embossed the cardstock panels with a Tim Holtz sizzix folder.

Hambo Hoedown Dog Sunburst

This is one of my fave cards if I do say so myself. I love the colors, kraft, red, turquoise and it has a dog! It's for the Hambo Hoedown which I missed the last several weeks.
