Looking Back

I was asked to be the guest designer this month for two Gutter Girlz Challenges!  Here is  my first one:  Looking Back.
I used some reclaimed chipboard backing from a note pad for the door, and a inked it all over with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and then painted it with Antique Linen Crackle Paint.  I sanded it lightly in areas and added the keyhole from my stash....  I cut out a window and used a bit of fabric to mimic a curtain and some ball fringe.  misc sticker.  The paper is SEI from a wonderful  giveway I won sponsored by Unity and Wendy Chang.  I used cardstock from that goodie box as well.

On the inside of the door is a picture of me and some lyrics from the song Wasted by Carrie Underwood.  Journaling on the other side.  The title is chipboard letters and hanging from the "g" which I seemed to have hidden is a key.  The quote is from Unity as are the butterflies I cut out from random paper.  I love butterflies!  I used Stickles in cinnamon and champagne here and there and glimmer mist on the title.  Gotta have some sparkle in there!

All in all I really like this.  It seems to have been perfect for what's going on in my life lately.

Check out the Gutter Girlz for  inspiration and join us!  It's a great way to let it all out and have fun, ignore any "rules" and have fun!
