Friends with Flair Happy Birthday Unity!

Unity is celebrating it's second birthday this week- stop by the Unity blog not only for this week's FWF lineup but to see all the goings on! Lots to take in and lots of chances to win some swag plus a sale too!

I am also offering a small grab bag of mixed Unity stamps to one lucky person who shares the name of a book they would recommend to read! So give me a title and author if possible of a book you enjoyed that you think I might like. Easy Peasy!

Now onto my card du jour:
I used my all-time fave Unity stamp and one of the first Unity stamps ever. I love these birdies!

Stamped in Red Barn Ranger Distress Ink
White neenah c/s base (textured)
Basic Grey red dp
SU Kraft layer
MS eyelet punch
Misc ribbon

Thanks for stopping by!

I LOVE the Abhorsen Series by Garth Nix. They are young adult books but are GREAT! I've read the whole series 3 or 4 times now. Very enjoyable and easy read.

Cute little birdie card! My mom just gave me a book but I haven't read it yet--it is The Associate by John Grisham. I have liked other books by him so it is probably good.

Adorable card Carla!!! Hmmm, I loved the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer but another good read that I really enjoyed was Angels and Demons by Dan Brown and I would definitely recommend reading the novel before you watch the movie! Have a wonderful weekend!

What a sweet card! Love the colors together.

A suggestion for a good read would be Shanghai Girls by Lisa See. I thought it was a great book. I read it on my Kindle, but I did see it at Costco last week, as it might be a little cheaper there.

Love the color combo of your card.
I enjoy reading books by Alecia Ahren. PS I love you was her first book and much better than the movie (though I did enjoy the movie, just not as much as the book).

Sweet card!

I second the Alexander McCall Smith books. I have read all of the #1 Ladies Detective Agency books and have been working on a few of his others. Fabulous writer.

Also, Jennifer Chiavareni (sp?) who wrote the Quilter's Apprentice book series. If you like a good comfort read, these are perfect.

What a lovely C&S card. Too late for your candy, but my favourite author is Margery Allingham, see if you can get a copy of Tiger in the Smoke, or Sweet Danger...
