I was feeling like grunging it up a bit so pulled out some Tim Holtz stuff and played awhile to make a big tag.. its hanging on my wall right now!
Here are some "in process" shots:
Basically I trimmed a sheet of grungeboard into tag shape, put a coat of gesso on it, let it dry, then painted some layers of crackle paint over it and added some color with the other paints here and there. I let it dry and then added some splotches here and there of more of same paints and rubbed some embossing ink over part and sprinkled the distress embossing power, applied heat, etc.
Images I sized and printed on different papers and cut out... layered some and used some distress ink here and there and some Rock Candy Crackle paint for texture and adhered with Alene's tacky glue in the gold bottle. I added some lace trim to lighten it up a bit, adhered a layer of cardboard to the back ( I could have painted it too) then punched hole with cropodile and used some twine for hanging.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you can join us at Fairy Fun Fridays this week!
