Jingle Belles - so sketchy Santa

I should tell you up front that this card was the reason I almost singed my bangs earlier. Yes.  I was sealing the edges of the ribbon with a long lighter and realized as I was peering over my glasses watching it melt that I was like scarily close to setting my bangs on fire.  Just so you know the risks I take for my craft.

I used a card kit from a swap for this!  Yay! One more down and only 60 or so to go!   I am not thrilled with the ribbon placement but it's already stuck down with scor-tape, and I am not risking more hair for a re-do.

I am not sure what the paper or image is- my guess is Stampin Up but don't hold me to that. I did use Cherry Cobbler c/s for the base. Stickles on trim and colored with copics.

Thanks for stopping by!

I don't seal my ribbon. I would start a fire, and I'm not that fussy, anyway. #lazy

So glad you didn't lose any hair in the name of art ... the things we do in the creative process :) so very glad you joined us at jingle belles.

YIKES! That is exactly why I don't heat-seal my ribbon. Well, not my hair, so much as the a) smoke detector above my desk, since apparently my DH knows me well, and b) all that kindling/aka paper - something bad would happen! I use teensy dabs of clear glue.
I love that Santa image! That's it, I'm starting some Cmas cards this week. (with 93% humidity & summer weather, I don't know how I'll get into the mood though!)

oooooooooooh! another card kit bites the dust and another glorious xmas card is born, that's what you've gotta call "win/win" missus! especially when you've got a santa this cute and awesome papers to do a stunning version of stef's sketch! ♥

ps: you know when they say in magazines that short bangs are "HOT" that isn't really what they mean, right?! :) :) :)

Ouch! And I thought burning my fingertips while heat embossing was dangerous! Love the layout and I think the ribbon looks great!
