Shopping Our Stash Challenge 67: Wooden it be Nice!

Hello everyone!  Thanks for stopping by- can you believe it's already SEPTEMBER! This year is going so quickly!  This week at Shopping Our Stash our challenge is called Wooden It Be Nice! We want to see some wood element (faux or real)  or image on your project.  Think of woodgrained paper, embossing folders, trees, barns, buildings, forests, wooden embellishments, etc.  Surely you have something just waiting in your stash!

I tried something completely new for me on this card. I was lucky enough to pick up a SU second hand that I had been wanting for awhile- Lovely as a tree. I think I originally found THIS CARD on Pinterest, but anyway... you can see where I got the idea from!  I just love it!

I used Ranger Distress Inks in Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, Broken China (I think) Walnut Stain, Scattered Straw. Stamped on Gina K cardstock and then layered with misc cardstock.  Misc button. Ribbon is SU.  It was really easy after all!  I followed her lead and used a fine point pen for the trunks.  Next time I won't go in as heavy with the dabs of ink, but I still like it overall.  Sentiment is from Unity.

Thanks for stopping by!

Carla - This is simply gorgeous! I love that SU set and your card/layout show it to perfection! I also love the simplicity of the rest of the card. It leaves the focus on the gorgeous trees!
