Anything But a Card Challenge 5- Use Black on Your Project

Hello everyone! Time for a NEW challenge at Anything But a Card!  This two-week challenge is to simply use BLACK in your project. It doesn't have to be the ONLY color and it does NOT need to be spooky!  Put your thinking caps on and join in!

I made this wreath for a friend at work.  I found almost all the fixin's from the Dollar Store-except for the flowers, which I scored at Michael's on clearance for 50 cents a piece!  The base of the wreath is simply a trivet.  It lends itself well for wreath-making, and at a dollar, it's way cheaper than standard wreath forms!

I wound some pipecleaners around the rings to make sure nothing showed through. You could just wrap ribbon or fabric instead.  Ignore the mess on the table.  I was in the zone!

I used  one and a half feather boas, some purple ribbons, purple beads, a witch cut out, a black cat pick, and a black gros grain bow.  The flowers add a nice touch.  Super easy. It looks really nice in real life, if I do say so myself.

I hope you can find time during the next two weeks to join us at Anything But a Card- we would love to have you!

Using a boa for a wreath? That's freaking brilliant!! Love that idea - and the final project is so fun!

It's so tactile Carla! I love the laverder colour in the centre, it works brilliantly against the black. I wondered what you used for a base - clever idea! Love the witch at the bottom.
Have a great week,
