Anything But a Card! You should stop by and see all the fabulous projects being shared! Amazing stuff! You still have almost a week to play along, and we'd love to have you! The challenge is to create something with a Fall or Halloween theme or simply use fall colors- golds, rust, reds, browns, deep green, etc. Easy!
As you know, I have been knee-deep in Halloween projects, and today I am sharing this little coffin/skeleton project. It started out as a plain wood coffin. I painted it black, then added some Rock Candy Crackle paint to add texture, then added more black paint to get ride of the shine. I then used some Aged Mahogany Crackle paint here and there, along with a bit of Vintage Photo to age it. The medallion I thought would be a nice touch. The skeleton I got at Dollarama on a garland, so I cut him off and manipulated him to be able to recline in the coffin. I decided he needed a bit of color, so I added some orange twine at the neck. The coffin I lined with BoBunny and Recollections paper, with a few punched bats on the wall. He likes to have something to look at while resting. The "pillows" keep him in position while on display. I spritzed the inside with Graphite Glimmer Mist for some sparkle. I wanted to play along with Haunted Design House's Macabre Monday's current challenge- rest in peace!
Thanks for stopping by!
