Anything But a Card Challenge 6: A Stitch in Time

Hello everyone!  The new challenge at Anything But a Card is A Stitch in Time!  You can use anything related to time- clock, watch, stopwatch, hour glass, clock parts, etc AND/OR stitching- real or faux!

I made an 8.5x11 wall hanging.  The base is a sturdy piece of cardboard, covered with scrapbook paper...can't remember who by now.  Then I used a portion of a 12x12 canvas paper sheet I got at Michaels the other week- it has the clocks printed on it.  I went over it with Distress Inks and Stains in Broken China, Peeled Paint, and Brushed Cordorouy.  I added some Tumbled Glass too.  I used copics for some of the framing colors.  I spritzed it with glimmer mist and water to mute it down and age it a bit.   I printed out an image of  a song, and aged the paper with more Distress Inks and crumpled up- attached to the canvas with brads and safety pins.  I added some pearls and Wild Orchid Flowers... and the ivory trim I found at a thrift store here.  I hot glued the trim on- and only burned my finer once.  Yay!

I think it came out pretty- and it is on my wall right now above my crafting space for inspiration.

We would love to have you join us over at Anything But a Card!  See you there!

also entering this at Tuesday Alchemy- anything but a card and One Stop Craft Challenge- anything goes
