Stash-busting Cards- office theme and WRONG sentiment on stamp

First one says: I don't mind going to work- but that 8 hour wait to go home is a bitch- second one says There must be more to life than this.

First one says Don't make me use upper case- second one same as above

Anyway, I did make one to play along with the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches- the one above with the silvery doo-dads as embellies.

This one says, I know, I know, I'm awesome, Let's not make  a big deal out of it.

Several months ago I bought some October Afternoon paper to replicate some cute office/Mad Men themed cards I saw on another blog.  I promptly put the paper to the side and didn't get to it... quite frankly I was sick of moving it so decided to get with it and crank out some cards.  Although I had sentiment-generating help from The Crooked Stamper, my printer was non-cooperative, and fast forward a couple or more hours later,I  have made five cards.

I can blame repeated interruptions and  in between was episodes of DH trying to get the printer to work on our mini-home network, followed by man-cursing and so on.  Finally it works, but I had already forged ahead using what I had on hand. In so doing, I discovered that a stamp I bought with the sentiment " Everything I say can be entirely backed by my own opnion" actually reads "when you have heart-drive problems, remember He is always there"-  at first I thought it was a divine intervention regarding my computer/printer woes, and for a second I was thinking WHO is always there, and if he is always there, why the heck isn't my printer working? Then it dawned on me.  I am not always this slow. Anyway, it turns out to be a  case of wrong rubber glued to wood block by company.

I wonder who got my  own opinion stamp instead of the heart drive one?  It would be a toss-up as to who was more surprised and maybe even annoyed.  Needless to say- another warning - stamp your stamps when you get them to ensure you can return/correct any issues!

The good news is I got to use up some of that paper line, some Summer Starfruit card stock by SU that I hate, and some odds/ends embellishments and trim.

Now it's time to clean up and relax ....not looking forward to work tomorrow!

What a weird stamp to get - heart drive problems???? I enjoyed your post and can totally relate I have zero tolerance when technology doesn't work. The cards you created are a lot of fun and will be greatly enjoyed.
Working gets in the way of so much doesn't it?

I love your cards! They are so cute! I hope I can find this paper! I would love to case them! I know a few people who would be delighted to get this card after a long day at work. Good luck with your printer! Use your new stamp for a non traditional valentines day card! People will love it!

These cards are all amazing! LOVE the color schemes you used! LOL about the sentiment switch up--what in the WORLD?! What a great story! I hope that you can come and play along this week at Inkspirational and this month at Technique Tuesday! We've got prizes, giveaways, and a DT call going on! :)

Somehow the wrong sentiment doesn't seem to be your style....I know I wouldn't be too happy if it were me :(
Although your first interpretations did make me giggle :)
These are far too much fun! I love the retro feel! And WOOT for joining in at TMS :)

Fun, humorous card. I like them all. However, I especially like the one you did for the TMS challenge. Those doo-dads are a very neat addition to the card. Well done and thank you for joining us at TMS this week.

These are all awesome cards and I love those sentiments. I can certainly use one of those to give to my coach. She's awful and I would love to use CAPS on her! lol Thanks for joining us at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

These are so fun! Love the retro design and your sentiments are perfect!
Had to smile at your love of summer starfruit! This is definitely not my favorite either, but it does work well with other colors. As for the stamp, somewhere someone is wondering what in the world happened to their stamp!
